They say your wedding will flash before your eyes and be over in an instant. Although I would have liked it to be longer I remember every minute! And what a day filled with joyous moments it was…..I think a good honest woman tip is relax….you shouldn’t be stressing over the flowers and chair covers at this point…..delegate and focus on the exciting part!
I said goodbye to Mr B in the penthouse at Seaham Hall and welcomed the girls. Breakfast, champagne,hair and make up all fun stuff….then the dress, designed by Sarah Arnett and made to measure by Leonie Claire, it looked perfect and fit like a glove!
Then a lovely moment alone with my Dad deep breath, hugs….then to the church (St Helens’s Church, Kelloe) appropriately late, of course. How proud we both were walking down the path to the church and down the isle….
The wedding was traditional, wonderful, giggly and with some naughty bits…reading ‘I wanna be loved by you’ Marilyn Monroe style by my friend Dan went down well!
Champagne reception back at Seaham Hall and photos on the beach with the dramatic North Sea and cliffs as a backdrop….we were almost swept away………..I was definitely swept off my feet….
The evening involved much eating, dancing, giggling having fun….
What an utterly blissful day! Can I do it all again?
