One of the more interesting business trips I take with my husband every year is a trip to Florence for the Menswear show Pitti Uomo.

The show runs twice a year January and June.  In the summer its baking hot in Florence and you need more than a gelato to keep cool.  In January Florence is less touristy and crisp and fresh making getting around the city a lot easier.

Each time we visit we are invited to a wonderful party thrown by Off Price Clearance giant http://www.Vente-privee.com.  Held in a majestic venue with stunning gardens, the party is the party to be invited to of the show.  This seasons didn’t disappoint!

We posed and laughed in photobooths, lost at backgamon, danced with the wicked female DJ ate the most amazing canapes, quaffed champagne, devoured the four beautiful Italian pasta courses and pigged out on the utterly delicious desert table….rum baba’s anyone?   Oh and we felt very internacional hanging out  in the library with our Italian Lord of  Fedon Attilio and Russian noble friend Vladimir!
