All summer long I’ve wanted to splurge on those now ubiquitous summer lace up flats, you know the ones, they started on the catwalk last year and now most high street stores have a version, lovely delicate pointy toed lace ups.
Seems I’ve not had a lot of time to shop this summer, coming from someone who has a lot to say about fashion getting myself along to the shops for a spree requires planning. Having spent the last two weeks covering the coming Autumn Winter season my head is currently in Christmas in July mode, hey ho (ho-ho). I digress.
So shopping let alone sale shopping has not been high on my list. Luckily because I live just out of Brighton I have one of those super out of town supermarkets on my doorstep which just happens to have both a huge Marks&Spencer and Next superstore right beside it.
While those brands may not always float my fashion boat they have both had a fabulous collection of summer sandals. Not only that but as we are in the last weeks of the summer sale, they are at a super mark-down price.
Peacocks (Yes Peacocks) are doing a clog sandal which looks very similar to a leading Swedish clog brand, alas not leather but for £14 I don’t mind if they last only one season.
These Black Leather platforms from next were £20 in the sale down from £45.
Take these Peachy coloured sandals from M&S £13
And chunky denim platform wedges, I picked them up for a staggering £8!
Cornflower Blue stiletto’s £14
Ditto these nude brogues £19!
Ok, so not designer luxury brands, but 6 pairs of sales sandals for a jaw dropping £88! It may not be quite as glamorous as a trip to Oxford Street or Brighton’s boutiques, but blimey! Out of town stores have a huge selection and some incredible sales to boot!
Love DSB X
All shoes were bought this summer in store and may not be available online, happy hunting!
Love this post and the fact that you’ve bought 6 new pairs! Brilliant! Those Blue and the peach are my favs x
