Mr B suggested DIY as our chosen way to spend this weekend, I agreed (partially because we have a flurry of visitors this month, my folks, the Italians, Sis in law and Nephew!) this was before I knew it was going to be super hot and sunny ALL weekend!
Luckily we are decorating the outside of the house so its maximum sun time, though so far we have spent two days at the top of ladders, prepping???
I say we, Mr B and my folks have probably clocked up more hours working, I’ve been what you might call support staff,
Tea? Who would like a cuppa? I’ll make it!
‘We’ve run out of paint, really? I’ll get it’.
It was on one of these paint runs to the somewhat dingier part of town I spied a Peacocks shop with a sale on, I know, this was my choice or Kentucky Fried Chicken…….Ladies, let me tell you, don’t knock it til you shop it!
White Beach cover up £9
Black Ruffle Bandeau Top £4
White Shorts £9
White and Gold Sliders – £5
Perfect for slipping on to take the dog for a walk on the beach (Well somebody has got to do it!)
Today (hopefully) we get to splodge on paint and be finished for tea. Tah dah!
Talking of which, turns out the best thing about having a DIY project that lasts the who weekend is that we are all too tired to cook therefore must down tools and go out to local restaurants.
Friday we took a pub dinner in The Cricketers across the green, yummy local pub grub and stacks of it! Last night we ventured over the lock to Southwick Beach and Carats, Greasy Spoon by day turned Gormet Restaurant by night with the best sea views. If your in Southwick, try the whole Sea Bass, Super Yum.
Who knew weekend DIY could be so much fun, new outfit, a walk on the beach and dinner by the sea. Perfect!
I’ll post my DIY story next week if we ever get the house finished!
‘Just Coming darling!’
