There’s nothing quite like the spark when rock meets fashion, Pam Hogg has history, credentials, and friends in both.
The Rock and Fashion A-List joined force, (Jo Wood, Yasmin Le Bon, Nick Rhodes, Bobby Gillespie, Katy England) all sat FROW to be the first to see the SS 17 collection from Hogg, Great Expectations.
The music started (The Kinks) and the lights went up to tattooed rock model Alice Dellal in demure, full skirted dress with leather applique, on lycra and chiffon.
The beautiful misfits and amazingly unconformist models walked in a range of super tight lycra, full skirted prom or draped, demure and peek a boo chiffon.
Legendary rock lady Anita Pallenberg (Friend, lover and muse to The Rolling Stones) took to the stage in Gold lycra suit and cane. One finger on aloft in rock royalty renegade. The crowd clapped and Oooood for more.
At one stage I felt that I was in a party or a gig, not a catwalk show.
This now Dr of Art, music, and fashion, ripped up the rule book and scored on every single look, all created by her own fair hand over 6 months in her studio, alone.
Dr Hogg, I salute thee, and every year I doth my cap a little bit more.
