When large statement necklaces appeared on the catwalk last year I thought nice idea but its not for me and it probably wont stay around for long.  I know what I like, a good hardworking chain, my name chain, a long gold chain, pendants and chokers in gold or sometimes silver, that’s me.

But this pesky trend for an oversized necklace has stuck around from last summer into this so I thought I’d better give it a go.  And I’m finding that I like it!

It’s not an everyday necklace but it is a game changer.  If you’ve got to go from daytime to evening, from boardroom to gala, or from school run to dinner this little bejewelled beauty is for you.

I’ve got this one from Frank Usher, now available at a reduced price from QVC, and its been my go to necklace of the season, pop it on with a jersey sundress, glam up a silk shirt, it does wonders for daytime to nighttime jeans and a white T.

Beware the necklace likes to take centre stage so don’t be tempted to team with top to toe prints or other fussy jewellery, but worn with everyday stuff it will be a scene stealer and win you lovely comments.
