Adventures Numeriques is a year long exhibition looking at the heart of the process of creating. The exhibition showcases the work and world of Modern Love focusing on their SS15 collection from concept through to finished collection. Looking in depth at the relationship between the traditional craft of fashion and textiles and the adoption of digital technology.
I’m a huge fan of Modern Love, the intricate prints, bold use of colour, the cut and the style and the drape of the fabric, the finished items I know and adore. The process however is something else.
The exhibition begins in Modern Love Studio with inspiration board, digital prints sketches and patterns. The exhibition then moves to a selection of pieces from the Spring Summer 2015 Modern Love collection. The final section allows visitors to interact with the exhibition with touch textile samplers or become textile designers publishing to the blog.
The exhibition runs until December 2015, so go and see for yourself, in the meantime check out the exclusive artisan collection of individual pieces which makes up the world of Modern Love.
Modern Love is the clothing collection from Arnett Hunt Studio.
Aventures Numeriques now until December 2015. Cité internationale de la dentelle et de la mode Calais France
An amazing insight into the process behind a collection, a gallery of prints, like limited edition artwork, hope you like it as much as I do.
